Nev is a South London-based writer, among other things. He has two children but still enjoys playing video games and watching films with helicopters and ninjas and explosions.

The first video game he ever played to completion was 'Quackshot' on the Sega Megadrive, but gave up on 'Castle of Illusion' as he couldn't defeat Mizrabel. Nowadays he plays games that require much less effort.

His favourite film of all time is probably 'The Last Boy Scout', but if you asked him to his face he would say Herzog's 'Aguirre, The Wrath of God' to seem more sophisticated.

The standard Nokia text message alert used to annoy him, but he secretly misses it now.

In his lottery-winning fantasies Nev and his family live in a house in Cornwall on a cliff-top with steps that lead down to a small private beach, where there is an Airstream trailer like Mel Gibson's in 'Lethal Weapon' where he can write. The reality is… not that.
